What to expect when a mobile detailer comes to your home

Booking a mobile detail for the first time? Here is how the visit works, what you need to have ready and what you do not.

Every Detail: What to expect when a mobile detailer comes to your home

If you have never booked a mobile detail before, the main question is usually simple: what do I actually need to do? The short answer is not much. The point of mobile detailing is that the setup comes to you.

Before the visit

The most useful thing you can do is take personal items out of the car. That includes the glovebox, console, door pockets, trunk and anything under the seats. It lets us clean every surface without moving your things around, and it means nothing important gets misplaced.

Make sure we will have access to the vehicle at the scheduled time. If you will not be home, leave the keys where we arranged and let us know where the car is parked.

What you do not need to provide

Every Detail brings its own water, power, equipment and products. You do not need to run a hose or an extension cord, and you do not need to have anything set aside for us.

We do need enough space to work around the car and open the doors fully. A driveway or a parking spot with some room on each side is ideal. If you are in an apartment, condo or office lot, it is worth confirming that a mobile service is allowed there before the appointment.

During the visit

You are free to go about your day. Many clients work from home or run errands while the car is being detailed. The time it takes depends on the service and the condition of the vehicle, so a regularly maintained car moves faster than one that needs a deeper recovery.

When we finish

We will walk you through the car and point out anything worth knowing, like stains that came out completely or areas that may need a different service. If you want to keep the car at that level, that is also the right time to talk about a maintenance schedule.
